Typical daytime air temperatures range from 28–33°C (82–91°F), peaking higher during heatwaves, especially inland and on the south coast. The Meltemi wind can cool the north coast but may bring choppy seas on some days. Sea temperatures climb from about 22–24°C (72–75°F) in June to 25–27°C (77–81°F) by late August.
Autumn (September–October): A sweet spot for fewer crowds and warm seas. Daytime highs usually sit around 24–29°C (75–84°F) in September, easing to 20–25°C (68–77°F) in October. The water remains swimmable, typically 24–26°C (75–79°F) in September and 22–24°C (72–75°F) in October, with the warmest seas lingering into early fall thanks to summer’s heat.
